Early in a project, before structural work is finalised, our MEP team walks the site alongside our structural and interior teams to flag potential conflicts while they’re still easy to resolve on paper. This includes confirming ceiling void depth against ducting requirements, checking riser locations against plumbing and electrical needs on each floor, and identifying where low-voltage cabling for automation or security needs dedicated pathways rather than sharing space with power cabling. For renovation and extension projects, this site visit also includes assessing what existing MEP infrastructure can be reused versus what needs to be replaced to meet current standards — a detail that affects both budget and timeline significantly.
